Before you splash out on a new bathroom we’d recommend spending time planning the details. After all, you don’t want all the expense and effort to trickle down the plug hole.
- Who uses your bathroom? Is it just for you? Or do you need to make allowances for the whole family? A family with young children need space and safety to be the priorities; older customers should bear in mind accessibility.
- Measure your space so that you have a firm idea of how much room you have to work in. Make sure you allow a realistic amount of space around the sink and toilet. The choice of suites available is vast and one way to rule a suite in, or out, is to gauge whether they’ll be too big or too small for the space available.

Even if you just want a simple suite you will still need to decide between a host of shapes and styles – and don’t forget the taps. - Consider whether you want to move the locations of your plumbing. If you’re working to a budget it will be beneficial to leave the fixtures where they are as re-plumbing can prove costly.
- Get accurate costs for installation by providing your installer with the CAD plan. Better still, use a one-stop service so that your designer understands the budget you have in mind. Don’t forget the extras like flooring and wall tiles; ask our Designers to help you choose a style that works with your chosen suite.
- Once you have made your choice and appointed an installer we recommend that you don’t remove the old fittings until the new ones have been delivered and checked for damage.
