In 2009 Leekes continued its expansion by acquiring the Cole's Furniture stores in the West Midlands, thus adding three furniture stores to its portfolio in Bilston, Bedwoth and Fenton.

Following a £3 million pound refit of the old Coles Furniture store in Bilston, the new contemporary Leekes home department store was officially opened in November 2010. The store offers a wide selection of both contemporary and traditional brands.
