Leekes family members run London Marathon in aid of NSPCC

Leekes, the award-winning retailer, has presented a cheque for £4000 to chosen charity Tŷ Hafan.

Chris and Matthew Leeke will take the gruelling 26 mile-long challenge on April 26th along with Lowri James and Kirsty Thomas, in a bid to raise in excess of £14,000 for the children’s charity.

Chris and Matthew’s fund raising efforts began in January with treadmill marathons staged at each of the three Leekes stores in Llantrisant, Cross Hands and Melksham. A number of enthusiastic members of staff ran on the treadmill for 15 minute intervals with the collective mileage covered totaling the 26 miles. Over £1,500 was raised across the three stores through generous donations from staff and customers.
