Leekes Managing Director becomes Honorary Member of the Council of the NSPCC

The Leekes Retail and Leisure Group are delighted to announce that Emma Leeke, Managing Director of Leekes Retail, has recently accepted a nomination to be appointed as an Honorary Member of the Council of the NSPCC on behalf of the business. This award has been given in recognition of the support that Leekes has given to the charity to assist with the excellent work they do with vulnerable children and families.

"Over the last 15 years, with the generous support of so many people within our business and our supply base, we have raised close to £250,000 for the charity with initiatives including my £20 challenge, Golf Days, cycle rides, treks and hikes amongst others. This year we were due to have our largest ever team running the London Marathon which has sadly been postponed until Oct 2021, host our annual Golf Day, now rearranged for June 2021, and were just about to embark on the £20 challenge across our stores and the Vale Resort. Once life returns to some form of normality, we will restart our fundraising activities to continue to provide much needed funds to assist the valuable work of the charity."

The NSPCC would like all of Team Leekes and the Vale Resort to be aware of their gratitude and appreciation of the substantial financial contribution we have made to the charity over many years and which is recognised in this appointment.

Congratulations Emma!
