This exciting final phase focuses on the area that previously housed our garden centre, decorating, bathrooms, and accessories departments. This space has been fully stripped back, and significant structural work is in progress for phase 3. The roof is currently being replaced to align with the bright, modern aesthetic introduced in phases 1 and 2, and internal wall boarding has begun, marking a major milestone in the transformation.
Behind the scenes, we are deep in the planning process to finalise the new store layout, which will shape the future of our Llantrisant home department store. This final configuration will bring several major upgrades, including:
– Relocation of our in-store restaurant to the ground floor, complete with dog-friendly outdoor seating
– New lighting and flooring throughout the refurbished space
– A new home for our accessories, lighting and soft furnishings departments, creating a beautifully curated space full of inspiration
– The introduction of new studios and brands to supplement our comprehensive offer
– A brand new, additional customer restroom
As we evolve, we want to make it as easy as possible for our customers to continue enjoying the best of Leekes during this transition with phase 3. Here’s what you need to know:
– The bathroom studio that was previously in this area has now moved to the first floor, alongside our kitchen displays
– Our conservatory and glazing studio can now be found in the central section of the store, near the stairs and lift to the first floor
– The new garden centre is located in its own polytunnel with a sizeable range of plants, pots and composts in adjacent outdoor space along with a comprehensive collection of outdoor furniture and pergolas displayed on our main furniture floor
– Our accessories departments have a new home to the right of the store and include a remodelled lighting studio, bathroom and kitchen accessories as well as a new picture, mirror and clock gallery
– The DIY, decorating and building centre remains at the rear of the store, continuing to serve as your one-stop destination for all your home improvement needs
We’re incredibly proud of how far the store has come and can’t wait to reveal the completed transformation in the coming months. Until then, we’ll continue to keep you updated as work progresses.
