Now in its 14th year, the AVR Wiltshire Half Marathon 2026 has firmly established itself as one of the club’s flagship events. Taking place in the picturesque village of Edington, the race attracts around 300 runners each year, offering a scenic yet challenging route through the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Whether participants are seasoned half marathon runners or tackling the 13.1-mile distance for the first time, the event provides a memorable and rewarding experience for all.
Beyond the race itself, the event carries a powerful charitable mission. Each year, the Wiltshire Half Marathon raises funds for the Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity – an organisation that provides vital, lifesaving services across the region. To date, the event has contributed over £20,000 to this incredible cause, helping ensure that emergency medical care can reach those who need it most. It’s an inspiring reminder of how sport can bring communities together to make a real difference.
