Sales Advisor - Building Trade and Yard
£4.50 - £7.55 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a full time Building Trade and Yard Sales Advisor

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Improving sales by delivering excellent customer service to local builders;tradesmen, and DIY enthusiasts
  • Receiving deliveries, unloading and loading store delivery trucks and customer vehicles.
  • Manual handling and moving building stock
  • Serving customers, dealing with enquiries and offering advice on the trade counter and the yard area
  • Making occasional, ad-hoc deliveries to customers in the nearby area during busy periods
  • Co-ordinating appropriate paperwork for sales and deliveries
  • Assist with the display of stock
  • Keeping the allocated area safe, clean and tidy

For this role, we're looking for:

  • Unexpired, full,clean,UK /EEA or Swiss driving licence is essential
  • Counter balance and Reach Fork Lift qualification preferred
  • Previouse experince working in retail is preferred
  • Good level of knowledge and understanding of the home improvements, building industry
  • Ability to work well within a team in a busy retail environment

The successful candidate must be available to work 37.5 hours per week 5/ 7 days, which may include Bank Holidays and Weekends

Working as part of the store retail team in one of our departments; home accessories, DIY and decorating, lighting, garden living or sports we are looking to expand our number of sales advisor's who will contribute to the general running and success of the department. Our departments feature our fantastic own Brand Casa alongside well known brands such as Le Cruset, Cath Kitson, Radley, Dulux and Kettler. 

By implementing excellent customer service and care, assisting with stock procedures and ensuring the department is presentable and staffed at all times your duties will be varied and include:

  • Ensuring all customers are acknowledged and provided with attentive and courteous service at all times
  • Merchandising the department, managing stock levels and department promotions
  • Processing special orders for customers when required
  • Maintaining a high standard of product knowledge
  • Serving customers at the tills and providing a positive and memorable experience

Previous customer service & retail experience is desirable. The successful candidate will be able to show enthusiasm and passion for retail, particularly the products and ranges Leekes has to offer.

Conservatory & Window Fitting, Installation and Base Teams
Llantrisant & the surrounding areas

Due to high business levels we are looking to for experienced conservatory installation and base teams as well as window & door fitting teams to work in Llantrisant and the surrounding areas.

We are currently looking to expand our installer network of self employed conservatory and glazing installation teams.

Work is provided on a sub-contracted basis and previous installation experience is essential, as is a smart approach and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.

This is a self employed role, although we offer consistent levels of work with prompt weekly payment. We also provide a company vehicle.
