Cranberry Sauce

Classic, delicious and oh so easy, follow our recipe to whip up the perfect cranberry sauce. Plus, you can make the sauce a few days ahead to really let the flavours mix well.

Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 100g/3½oz light brown sugar
  • 100ml/3½fl oz fresh orange juice
  • 250g/9oz fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 clementine, finely grated zest only (optional)

Instructions

  • 1. Combine the sugar and orange juice in a large saucepan and bring to the boil.
  • 2. Stir in the cranberries and clementine zest (if using), then simmer until the cranberries are tender but still holding their shape – this will take about 5 minutes if using frozen cranberries and a little longer if using fresh.
  • 3. Refrigerate until needed, the sauce will thicken as it cools.
  • 4. Remove from the fridge an hour before serving.
