As we continue on our path to a greener future, you will see several new product lines within our stores. These will all use more economical and sustainably sourced products. Our buyers are working with our suppliers to reduce plastic packaging across our business. We also only work with suppliers that offer FSC wood. This ensures that all wood used within the manufacture of our sofas and other furniture products is FSC certified as well as the timber we sell in our builders’ merchants locations.

Our most recent green project is well underway with a £1.4 million investment in solar energy. This is being implemented across all our store sites, head office, as well as our 4-star hotel, the Vale Resort. Passionate about working to make a positive, sustainable impact on the planet, our 2 year programme of solar investment will be completed by spring 2023. As a result, this will see over 1.9 million kWh per year of energy generated. Thus, allowing sites to be up to 45% self-sufficient, with over 900,000kg of CO2 emissions avoided each year.
