Sustainability has always been at the forefront of the German brand’s ethos. In 2016 Rotpunkt introduced Greeline – An environment-friendly alternative to conventional chip boards where corn and other annual plants are used. This reduces the proportion of wood in a kitchen by 37% without affecting the stability or processing quality and saves the equivalent of around 50 football pitches of forest each year!

2020 has seen more change for the eco-friendly kitchen brand with the introduction of Greenline BioBoard Gen2. This new and improved chip board will consists of up 90% recycled wood and fulfils all requirements for chipboard. This along with other company wide initiatives , such as investing in efficient cutting machines to reduce waste and reducing CO2 emissions means that Rotpunkt are well under way to their pledge of carbon neutral kitchen production in 2020.
